I would say the most I have paid for a video game was, I believe, just over £100 for a Call of Duty game, newly released for the vault edition for my son.
If we are talking about how much I have spent in-game. I couldn't say 100% but I know that would be most in Fortnite 🙂
Probably a few hundred on Pokemon Go when I was into that. Buying coins so I could buy egg incubators and stuff like that. Long time ago though. Wouldn't waste my money on anything like that anymore.
That honor would probably fall on SWTOR with the monthly sub I paid for years.
I did spend an uncomfortable amount of money on Game of War: Fire Age in high school. Only good thing that came out of that is that I don't play games on my phone anymore.
If we're counting monthly subscriptions, probably a toss-up between Disney's Toontown Online and RuneScape. Then again, I wasn't the one paying for those subscriptions back then, but I can only imagine how they added up.
I think I spent $120 on a game for one of the premium versions. I spent $100 on the Phantom edition of Battlefield 6 and it has been worth every cent so far. Not always the case.
I don't do monthly subscriptions or micro transactions, so the most I've spent is likely to be a premium edition. I reckon the honour would probably fall to Halo 3: Legendary Edition (the one with the model helmet).
I tend to be a lot more restrictive with my spending, whilst still buying quite a few games.. I buy most of them digitally now when they're on sale, as well as having PS Plus Premium.
I've recently spent the most I've done on a game, I paid $90 for the digital deluxe version of Sonic Racing Crossworlds. I wanted to not only get the DLC that came with the deluxe version, but I also wanted to play the game a bit earlier than those who only purchased the normal version. I plan on getting a physical release of the game too, possibly for the PS5 so I can have it for my collection too.
I think the highest I've spent was on FIFA Ultimate Team packs one year. I don't even want to remember the amount because it hurts me later. If care is not taken, it can drain your pocket.
