Greetings everyone! altBoard is now live (more or less)!

I created this forum because I am personally tired of most forums becoming politicized and gatekeeping their users. altBoard is an alternate forum (no pun intended) where users can discuss games and other topics without fear of political resistance.

As an example, yes, Harry Potter can discussed here. Does that mean we are insensitive to trans people and rights? No, absolutely not. Hate speech and bigotry are not tolerated, but we are allowed to discuss projects made by people who we disagree with.

No politics, culture wars, or console wars are allowed here. Discussion is purely regarding gaming or other non-political topics.

I'm a trans guy who can separate the art from the artist, I know not everyone is like that but I am. I am happy to see the no politics rule, they just cause too much drama on a forum. I'm already loving the forum so far!

Setting up a forum basically for discussing games and other good interests is great. I will say that political talks can make a mess of a community especially when not handled properly and deciding to rule such discussions on this forum is quite awesome.
