No, it would have been garbage. It would have been a repeat of the Shadows game. Until they get back to making AC games like they did in the past, they're going to struggle to make any sales. They have a tendency to take things and try to push the envelope, forcing things people don't want at them and saying accept it and pay us outrageous sums of money.

I actually enjoyed Shadows. Origin and Shadows are my favorite of the "RPG" style Assassins Creed. Although I have an affinity for games set in Japan. Origins was legitimately good though.

I do agree that the identity of AC has been lost a bit, but if you take the new games for what they are, they're pretty good. The only ones I didnt really like were Odyssey and Valhalla. Way too long.
