Social media: yay or nay? (1 Viewer)

Are you a fan of social media or not really? If yes, what social media sites do you find yourself using on a daily basis? Are there anyone's that you prefer not to use? If so, which ones?

I used to use social media daily, but now I rarely do. When I did, I mainly used twitter, instagram and Facebook. I prefer to avoid platforms like TikTok because I find they can be too distracting and time-consuming. I prefer to keep my social media use limited now.

I avoid all short forms of social media like TikTok and YouTube shorts. Don't need to mess with my attention span. Really the only social media I use is Reddit.

I was using tiktok daily as well, but now I don't. I'm actually running a facebook page and group now that I'm making money from, so i spend a lot of time managing it.

I have a couple of relatives that make pretty good money from social media, so I hope one day I'll be able to do so as well. I spend time on Reddit and Tumblr too, but not a whole lot these days.

If not the toxicity of social media platforms, I don't have any problem making use of them. Even though, I still use the ones that are beneficial for me when it comes to promoting my business.

I don't mind social media but there are some social media platforms I no longer use anymore, mainly because I just feel as though I am wasting my time with them now.

Facebook would be the main one that I no longer bother with as much as I used to anymore. I find that many people tend to use it to air their personal problems out for the world to see.

I don't use social media anymore, never was really into it. Most of my friends don't use it either. We just keep in contact through instant messaging/texting/phone calls, or better yet, just hanging out in-person on the weekend.

My job includes putting up ads on various social media platforms, mainly Facebook and Instagram, so I can tell you that social media is for advertisers first and users second.

Frankly speaking, I am a fan of social media. I live away from my parents and I use social media to connect with them. I have friends on another part of the globe and I can connect with them. I even use social media for my job

I'm not the biggest fan of social media. I think they're the reason why forums aren't as big as they once were. I do like the fact that I can keep in contact with family though, so that's nice. I also love Youtube and it's my favorite social media site. I had to take a break from Facebook for a bit because it was negatively affecting my mental health.
