The Japanese company behind the Switch consoles has released a new mobile app for iOS and Android called Nintendo Store, and as the name suggests, it provides easier access to the company's online shop. Nintendo already offers several mobile apps, including the popular Nintendo Music and Nintendo Today, but this new release is something fans have been requesting for a long time.

It is no secret that 2025 has been an excellent fiscal year for Nintendo, with recent data showing that the Switch 2's release boosted the company's net sales. Building on that success, Nintendo expects to sell even more of its current-gen console as 2026 approaches. At the same time, the company appears to be focusing on improving access to its online store, making it easier for fans to purchase both hardware and software.

Will you be checking out and using the Nintendo Store mobile app? It seems as though it could be quite convenient for those who tend to check out the Nintendo Store frequently.

It's coolest feature is looking at detailed play time statistics for Nintendo Switch, plus even 3DS and Wii U! This feature is mostly missing on the actual Nintendo Switch 1 & 2 systems, so it's really nice to see how much time I have played my games, as well as exactly when I was playing them. Also pretty cool to see the dates I started playing specific 3DS and Wii U games, brings me right back to those memories in high school!
