Is it worth investing in a gaming PC, or should I stick with console gaming? (1 Viewer)

I've bounced between both, and honestly, it depends what you value. Consoles are simple and require no tweaking, just pick and play. But when I finally built a PC, the freedom to upgrade, mod games, and run stuff smoother was a game-changer.

I got my first PC when I was 19 after high school, and have stuck with it ever since.

While I love PC gaming, and will always advocate for it, Console will always have the best value no matter what. Easy, affordable, abundance of games. Plus your friends are more likely to have consoles.

PC grants you the most freedom. No paying for online multiplayer, mod any game you want, play almost any game new or old or emulated....
It's also the most versatile in my opinion. You don't need an Xbox anymore, and most new PlayStation games are released on PC within a year. I think having a PC and a Switch is the golden combo.

I will say, right now is a pretty expensive time to be building a new PC. It was REALLY bad earlier this year when the new 5000 series dropped, but prices have come down a bit since.

Choosing between a PC and a console for gaming would depend on many factors, the main one being whether you would be willing to upgrade your PC when it is necessary or if you would rather just have something that works for you, no matter what game you wish to play.

You would also have to consider the cost of upgrading when the time comes that you need to, so that you can continue to play the games you enjoy.

I personally prefer to have a console, mainly because I prefer to play most games with a controller, and any games that I tend to play on my PC would be click-and-play style games.

I have both and tend to play on console more. However, with the increase to Xbox Game Pass, I'm currently weighing out my options as I'm not sure if I wanna pay $30/mo eventually when i'm forced to.

I have a gaming PC as well as Console. Between console gaming and PC gaming, I will always choose PC. Building a gaming PC cost a lot of money but I think it worth it. A hard core gamer will always choose PC gaming over console gaming because you can customize the way you want.

It depends on what you value. But I think PCs offer better graphics, mod support, and multitasking, but they're pricier upfront and need occasional upgrades. Consoles are plug-and-play, cheaper initially, and great for exclusives. If you're into competitive shooters or strategy games, PC will be better.

It honestly depends on your pocket. Gaming PC is amazing but it's quite expensive. Consoles are easier. I'm on console for now because I don't have the patience for PC upgrades.

A PC is better long-term if you can afford the upfront cost. But consoles give you a clean and just plug and play experience. No tweaking settings, no troubleshooting. I love PCs but consoles are still more convenient for most people.
