Morrowind Is Finally Getting The Attention It Deserves, With Its "First Ever Fan-Made Film"
Filming wrapped last week, and the team is now hard at work on bringing Morrowind to life with a short film set 15 years before the game.
Last year, a group of dedicated Morrowind fans announced that they had begun work on an ambitious short film set 15 years before the events of The Elder Scrolls 3 called "The Sleeper", detailing the "creeping rise of the Sixth House" from the perspective of the "downtrodden dunmer", Draryn Thelas.
On September 18, after six days of shooting, The Sleeper wrapped filming, taking the crew from the imposing Roman forts in South Shields, England, to the lush rural outskirts of Hong Kong, China, capturing the rich tapestry of culture on display in Bethesda's cult classic Elder Scrolls.
"A huge amount of time, effort, and money has gone into creating this vision, and while it can't be a Peter Jackson-style masterpiece, there is a high level of quality in its costumes, VFX, cinematography (filmed with a Black Magic Camera), and acting," u/booboy92 announced. "The film will now enter post-production."
Stuff like this is why I love video games. I'll be happy to see this once they release it.
