Have you ever had a game stolen from your collection before?

Years ago, one of my older brother's friends stole my copy of SIlent Hill on the PS1. It was my original copy with the artwork and everything. I had to find a loose copy out in the wild to replace it with. It really annoys me cuz I had the complete one and some idiot stole it from my collection.

Never bothered telling my parents because my older brother was always seen as the golden child that could do no wrong, so even if I told them that one of his friends stole the game from me, they wouldn't believe me.

That I know of, I have not had a game stolen from my collection, but I remember years ago, my brother had a friend round to play video games, and this friend, who we thought was a good friend, stole one game from my brother's collection.

We brought it up and mentioned it, and all he did was deny it. My brother stopped hanging around with that friend after a while.

Luckily I've not had it happen very often, but back in the day we did loan a couple of Mega Drive (Genesis) games to our neighbour's boyfriend and never got them back..

Thankfully, this has never happened to me. years ago, when I used to buy physical copies of games, some of my friends and family borrowed games but they returned in good condition. Never have had any issue when with lending games.

I made the mistake of letting a "friend" borrow my copy of Pokemon Leaf Green as well as Teen Titans on the GBA and Digimon World 3. I never got my copy of Leaf Green or Teen Titans back. (I later replaced my copy of Teen Titans, I'll probably never be able to replace my copy of Leaf Green unfortunately...) I never let others borrow my games now, because I'm afraid this might happen again.

That's not happened to me thankfully. I've been pretty careful with my game collection over the years. I can imagine how frustrating that would be though especially if it was a rare or expensive game.
