Epic Games has confirmed it is suing a Fortnite player for cheating in a tournament.

Though Epic has not publicly named the player concerned, the company has issued a lifetime ban against the player and sued for $175,000 after the player "used cheating software and hardware and tried to avoid getting caught by using multiple accounts."

"The player is required to pay $175,000, and we'll donate what we collect to charity. They are also banned from playing Fortnite forever," the company added.

Good. Keep cheating out of online tournaments. Although 175K might be a bit excessive. He only won around 6k.

Ouch. That goes to show you that you shouldn't cheat in an online game. Hopefully other cheaters will take heed to this lawsuit and stop doing it.
