In a new release to subscribers, Amazon has revealed that the Prime Gaming brand is being retired, but that users' benefits won't be negatively impacted. According to Amazon, subscribers to the Prime service will still enjoy the same benefits they've come to expect, but it will now be incorporated into Amazon Luna, the company's cloud gaming service. Amazon reassured subscribers that users will still be able to receive one Twitch subscription per month, plus expanded emote sets, chat colors, and extended broadcast storage as they've come to expect on Twitch under Amazon Prime Gaming, with no significant differences made to how one can redeem these options. Additionally, free games will still be provided to subscribers on a monthly basis.

Looks like all the gaming benefits are being kept and folded into the Amazon Luna brand.

It's an interesting move. Folding it into Amazon Luna feels like they're trying to make one bigger ecosystem instead of spreading stuff thin. I am one of the gamers who benefited from Prime Gaming as I have claimed some games there. so I'm curious if those perks would stay the same.

I did wonder if they may do this at some point, as it seemed a little weird that they had their gaming side of Amazon split into two separate brands, so to speak.

I am glad to see this move; not only does Amazon Luna sound better, but I also feel having it all under one brand will help them out a lot, too, in the gaming side of Amazon!
