What are your favorite games of all time? Let's hear the top three. Got any stories about why they're your favorite or some fun memories you have with them?
Here are mine:
1. Paper Mario (N64)
One of my first games as a young child, I have great memories of playing this with my brother, cousins, and especially my grandmother. I really love how it feels like a children's storybook, it's very uplifting and happy, calming even. It's a very special game to me.
2. Rayman 2: The Great Escape (N64)
This game really gave me my sense of adventure. Rayman fights against the odds to defeat the Robo-Pirates and save his friends while exploring a dark and gloomy, but also cool and mysterious world. The gameplay is excellent, being one of the best 3D platformers of all time and a very unique one at that, with its more linear structure and varied gameplay. This game was just made available on Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, so I would recommend giving it a try!
3. Super Smash Bros. Melee (GCN)
This was my favorite multiplayer game as a kid, played it with my brother and our best friend, kids from school, and everyone in-between! Not only was the multiplayer super-fun, but the singleplayer content was fun to chip away at over the years, with Adventure mode being my favorite in the game. While I never really got into the competitive scene, it was fun to watch the intense matches at major tournaments during the Era of the 5 Gods.
As for an honorable mention, definitely would say Disney's Toontown Online (and Toontown Rewritten by extension), my most-played game by far. I had so much fun with Toontown and still play Rewritten from time to time.
