Amazon's upcoming Tomb Raider TV series adaptation has officially unearthed its Lara Croft. Sophie Turner, who had long been rumoured to take the mantle, will be taking to the dangerous fringes of the world as the iconic PlayStation-originated gaming heroine when the show officially begins production on January 19, 2026.

I have to say this casting doesn't feel quite right, but I'm open to being proved wrong. I'm a big fan of the tomb raider video games and I have a thing for treasure hunting shows/movies. Hopefully this turns out to be good.
