How do you approach game difficulty when it gets too hard? (1 Viewer)

When a game becomes too challenging, I don't give up easily. I tend to continue a few more times , but when it feels like the game is sucking out the fun, I will back off immediately. I should be enjoying the game rather than punishing myself to death.

If a game is too difficult I'll turn down the difficulty. I do want some challenge, but I don't want to too difficult that I get angry playing. For me, video games are supposed to be fun, not frustrating.

I watch tutorials on youtube and try to approach the game accordingly. Sometimes when I still cannot move on even after watching tutorials, I stop playing and will come back after few days

I'm a stubborn guy, if I keep dying at a certain part I will keep trying over and over again until I make it past the part. However, I tried giving Dark Souls 3 a try and I literally died 15 times before beating the first boss. So when I died a few times during the next part, I gave up on the game and I haven't played it since lol. I still have it, one of these days I would like to tackle the game again. Maybe I'll do so on livestream?

Yeah, some games are so difficult that you can never progress. Well, I am not a great fan of playing too challenging games, I believe games should be fun and when you cannot progress in the game, it is frustrating, and the fun part vanishes. By the way, I would be interested in watching your livestream and see if you can progress. 😀

It depends on my mood. if it's a skill-based game, I'll grind it out, watch tutorials or take a break and come back fresh.
