Do you use Linux? (1 Viewer)

I'm curious to see if there's anyone here on altBoards that uses Linux over Windows. Or perhaps you're like me and have Linux dual booted with Windows 11. I would make the complete switch to Linux if I could but unfortunately the old Elgato Capture Device doesn't work in Linux so I'm stuck with dual booting. Plus there are a few Sonic modding tools I use that don't work on Linux. I suppose I could try to run them in a virtual machine if I really wanted to, but dual booting is much easier IMO. I have the latest version of Ubuntu saved on an external ssd.

My Linux usage is limited to my Steam Deck. Unfortunately, I just can't see myself jumping over to Linux permanently. I know Windows is bloated, but it is still is the best platform for gaming, and the most accessible operating system.

Windows is surely going to give you some amazing features that make your user experience as a PC user wonderful. That is the reason I've always stuck to being a Windows person most of the time.

Yes, I used Linux and windows. The flexibility and customizability of Linux is great, but there are still applications and games that I have to use Windows to access. I have discovered that, with both the operating systems loaded, I am able to use the best out of the two.

I do use Linux. Unfortunately, my laptop, which is now 11 years old, this November, the hard drive died on me a few years ago and I only had a hard drive with small storage at the time to swap it out to. I ended up having Linux put on it and have been using Linux on that laptop since around 2019.

I'm hoping to get a new laptop for my birthday, which I will likely either put Linux on to - or at least dual-boot it.

I really don't like Windows 11.. 🤢

I would use Linux, if Alienware command center worked with it, but because AWCC handles stuff at the hardware level, it isn't supported by any linux kernel or distribution.

Even though I haven't used Linux but I am interested in trying this open source. I have one old laptop which has Windows 11 but it is giving me headache, I have been often suggested to install Linux, I might try someday.
