The controller is definitely good for comfort, but for precision , I would go with the keyboard and mouse. If I want to play RTS games, I will always prefer to use the mouse and keyboard, though I feel more comfortable using the controllers with the platformers. What about you?
I use a controller for pretty much everything outside of Roller Coaster Tycoon/Old School Runescape/Toontown Rewritten. Then again, I am not much of a PC gamer, most of the time I'm on Nintendo Switch 2 these days.
When I am playing on PC, I don't like to use controllers. Well, I have used controllers but I experience better control and flexibility with keyboard and mouse.
As someone who grew up with console gaming, I definitely prefer to use a controller. I'm not really used to using a mouse and keyboard, you can tweak the sensitivity on your controller to try and mimic the feel of using a mouse and keyboard. However I know it won't fully emulate mouse movement well. I know it's probably easier for some people to use a mouse and keyboard when playing FPS games.
