Black Ops 7 or Battlefield 6 this year? Or Both? (1 Viewer)

Which FPS game will you be playing this year? Battlefield 6? Or the upcoming Call of Duty Black Ops 7? For me? I'll be playing both, at least until my game pass subcription runs out sometime in July of 2026. I own BF6 but BO7 will be played through Game Pass. I'll be splitting my time between the two while throwing in single player experiences inbetween both.

I liked the beta of BO7 and with the confirmation of no skill-based matchmaking, it should be a pretty decent game reminiscent of the oldder CoDs like Black ops 2 and 3.

What about you? Which FPS game are you going to be playing this year?

I have decided not to play either this year, and that is not like me. I have found that I am quite burned out on FPS, and even though I tried the Battlefield beta and thought it was fun, it was not a game I felt I could sit and play for hours like I used to.

Call of Duty I have been burned out on for some years now after releases that were just, in my opinion, stale.

I've pretty much bought every Call of Duty since around 2008, but I'm honestly fed up with them repeatedly releasing half-arsed games and reusing 60–70% of the maps. For that reason, I'm with a lot of others - I won't be supporting COD again until there's a significant change.

I'm not a big FPS, but I enjoy COD in small doses. The new COD's are bit too fast paced for me though. I plan on getting BF6 once I'm back from vacation. I heard its faster paced than previous Battlefield's but not as fast as COD.

Yeah, it is more fast paced than usual. But not a bad thing imo. It's why so many COD players jumped ship.
