Nintendo has announced a Nintendo Direct for 6/9/2026 at 10:00 AM EST. Discuss here! I'm hoping to see a Nintendo Switch 2 Edition of Pikmin 4, especially if it adds co-op. Aside from that, some more additions to the Nintendo Classics apps would be cool, especially Super Mario Sunshine to kick...
Yeah, I have barely tried out 120hz gaming yet with the Nintendo Switch 2, I definitely am not interested in 1000hz. Cool that it exists for whatever niche purpose someone can find for it though.
I haven't heard of a single person playing games on Netflix. Game streaming just isn't catching on, with most platforms having low user counts or committing a Stadia (also known as dying). Most parents I hear from say their kids are most into Nintendo, with an occasional PlayStation user popping...
I am pretty excited to try Path of Radiance! Always played Ike in Super Smash Bros. Brawl since Roy wasn't available, so will be pretty cool to get to try Ike's game. On top of that, this game was pretty much a no-go previously if you wanted to play it legally, so making it available as part of...
One of the two in my city is closing, but I never go to that one because it's in an inconvenient location. It actually just opened up within the last 3 or so years, but the rent in that mall is incredibly high, so I understand why they're shutting that one. My favorite one is still open though...
What are your favorite games of all time? Let's hear the top three. Got any stories about why they're your favorite or some fun memories you have with them?
Here are mine:
1. Paper Mario (N64)
One of my first games as a young child, I have great memories of playing this with my brother...
Yeah, OLED is definitely a huge step up over LCD, but LCD is definitely passable for a low price point. For Switch 2, the LCD screen is pretty lackluster, but it works well enough for most people.
Mostly a console gamer, mainly on Nintendo systems and a bit of Xbox 360. While I used to do more PC gaming, I never enjoyed playing games I could be playing on console through a PC. My PC gaming mainly consists of MMOs like Toontown Rewritten and Old School RuneScape.
I would say 90% of my...
I don't think VR, at least in the way we currently envision it, will ever become "the future of gaming". People just want to sit down and play a video game without having to turn their living room into a theme park attraction. While VR can be a fun addition to one's gaming experience, it will...
Orbitals looks cool, plus its exclusive to Switch 2, which is pretty cool. I like the art style/character designs and think the gameplay looks fun.
Aside from that, not much stood out to me from the VGAs, maybe the new Mega Man and Tomb Raider but nothing else.
One benefit on Switch for waiting a while to pick up a physical game is that Nintendo does cartridge revisions over time, so later prints of Switch Game Cards can sometimes have the downloadable updates on them, making them better for preservation.
This website actually keeps track of these...
I am definitely a detailed plans kind of person. My friends see me as the leader of our team and rely on me to make our plans and be able to tackle challenges/changes on the fly. Having a good base plan with A/B options is generally how I roll, being able to make adjustments, and yes perhaps go...
It's sad, but Call of Duty seems to be in a bit of a rut right now. I never was a COD player, but I have immense respect for the ones who played back around '09 to '13, back when the series was in its heyday. My cousin was super into COD, I remember him showing it to me back in '10, the online...
Pokemon Legends ZA showed that The Pokemon Company had learned some lessons from the debacle with Scarlet & Violet, so I am excited to see where they go on Nintendo Switch 2. I do think the NS2 should give them some more headroom for graphical and performance quality, as Game Freak doesn't seem...
